I have to travel to an asylum in the hopes of finding Imomen. What happens to my guild while I can't take care of things? Will lose control of the guild because no one will pay the weekly upkeep fee?

Yup, you will lose it, although you can buy it back from Renal when you return.

<span style="color: lightblue">You don`t necesarily loose it... the timer is stopped at the beggining of Chapter 4, and restarted again at the beggining of Chapter 6.
This means that if you pay and then immediately go to your employer, you can possibly make it back *just* in time to pay. It also depends on if you get one particular random encounter, and what you do in two encounters you always have.

A long time ago, I lost the ownership even in chapter four, and when I come back to buy it, I couldn't because Renal asked me to buy it again and again. I payed about twenty times, without a result.
Perhaps baldurdash solved it later.

Hi, I was just wondering if it is safe to store items in the guild (in my case the thieve's guild) while you're at Brynnlaw, Underdark, etc. I've stored tons of valueable items in a chest, so will it still be there when I return, even if I've lost the guild ownership? The reason I thought that this could happen is because before I killed Maevar & took over the guild there were things in shelves & boxes that disappeared after I took over the guild (as it appeared like a new unexplored area).
