Title Says It All - meaning that no text was needed, because of such a descriptive title :D

It makes my heart bleed when people do not read the sticky threads first. ;)

Common Acronyms

Better get a band-aid for that bleeding heart, Dundee.

I've been BBS'ing since 1990, and I never ran across IIRC before. It simply didn't occur to me that it would be listed as a "common" acronym.

Still, I reckon every drop of wasted bandwidth is another drop from the heart...

ROFL! I hope people wont use these too often.
"So, after I fire all my MMM, I DOHM and charge in; dual wielding DoE & FoA. IIRC that is. It could also have been CFury & CFaeyr. Of course, my cleric was using the GoWE to get more ApR." ;)

Xen 04-24-2003 07:14 AM

BTW it is not DOHM it is DUHM

pcgiant 04-24-2003 07:24 AM

Or maybe it's DUMB
Heh heh, just kidding.

Those acronyms are just to make things easier for us to type out our posts, especially when we have to type out a lot, and seriously, typing out "Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting" over and over again is a nightmare.

As a personal rule of conduct though, I tend to type out in full the first time I use a long phrase/name, then proceed to use the acronym.

For Example:
Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting( ADHW) is a level 8 arcane spell, and is a popular spell pick among the players. ADHW deals Magic Damage and is not easily resisted by most enemies.
