My PC is a Wizard Slayer. Now I admit to not having played SoA for a long time as well as suffering from creeping senility. Does the type of kit you choose alter basic scripts? The last time I played, as a vanilla fighter, while in Trademeet, I had the opportunity to expose that pompous "dragon slayer" as a fraud. Not this time, however... he just left after telling his tale.

I do know that alignment, reputation, etc. can effect interaction but do the kits as well?

Not as far as I know. There atleast shouldn't be any differences between the options a fighter and a wizard slayer would get. ;) I don't know what's different with this dragon slayer-guy, though, so you got me there.

I did not think it should matter, but what do I know? I had the same experience when I played IWD again. Remember Jed (?), the drunken fisherman in Easthaven? The first few times I played, I was able to convince him to sober up, which got me some extra "free" experience points.

The guy in Trademeet is not critical to anything. I was just curious and wanted to be prepared for possible changes to quest related dialogues.

Thanks.

Charisma matters, also your Reputation and Intelligence matter in conversations... if these are relavitely low then thats the problem that you don't get to expose the ''dragon-slayer''

Actually... it is your WIS that decides on whether you manage to expose the fraud of the Tradesmeet "Dragonslayer".

Potions of Insight beckons. ;)

As for Jed in IWD, it is your class that determines whether or not you get the option to sober him up. The Bard gives you the best outcome, while the Mage gives you a bittersweet one.

Short of repungant CHA, high CHA is only needed in one critical dialogue in SoA. WIS is needed in two. INT is needed in one. As far as I can recall.

Are they? Which ones are those?

WIS is needed to expose the fraud, as already mentioned above. WIS is also needed to convince the Spectator Beholder.

INT is not critical, but affects how you communicate with Solaufein in the Drow city.

CHA is needed to convince Lonk the Sane to help you release the inmates. CHA is also needed in one ToB conversation in Watcher's Keep with the Demon in the Maze Level.

I see... thanks Dundee

There's another dialogue in Ust Natha that checks for INT and/or CHA, not so sure. Hint: Not every PC will have this dialogue. ;)

The naughty talk with Phaere? I was not aware INT could influence this too.
