Ok, first of all, I am very glad to be here after a few MONTHS of waiting for that authorization...
anyway though, I have a technical problem, everytime I insert disc no.3, its says C++ error..something something... I thought, "ok, wanna play rough?" then I went to delete BG2 so I will reinstall it once again, and it will (hopefully) work...But...It wont let me delete, it does the deleting process, but the game is still there... Why? How do I fix it? |
Welcome to IW !
Delete the whole BG II - SoA map on your harddrive, though I doubt that you will be able to install BG II again, if the cd gives you such an error.. its 9 of the 10 times corrupted or damaged (scratches). If you can't play BG II at all, then you should indeed try to re-install the game, if the cd still gives you the C++ error.. then it is corrupted, try cleaning it or otherwise.. bring it to a local hardware store and let them try to fix the cd. [ 04-14-2003, 01:25 PM: Message edited by: Annatar ] |
Carefuly (Cant stress that part enough) go into regedit and remove all traces of baldurs gate and interplay. CAREFULY mind.
Have a look at CD3, and if its OK then reinstall. Otherwise youll have to get to replaced or resurfaced. |
I did it once and I had to reinstall Baldur's Gate 1.
Which means: make a backup of Registry before editing. |
