I was wondering, if u were playing a Kensai/Thief, would u be able to wear armor? Also, is it possible to use bows as a Kensai/Thief? Or does a Kensai/Thief mean that u can not use anything the classes prohibits... If it does, does it mean that I cant use Maces anymore? Replies appreciated.

In a standard SoA game, dualling a Kensai to a Thief means that you still cannot wear any armour, but you *will* retain all your weapon proficiencies and you *will* still be able to use these weapons (provided you have surpassed your kensais level with your thief level) so yes you will still be able to use maces. The only dual class case where you will lose the ability to wield certain weapons is when dualing to a cleric, since their faiths and beliefs allow them only to use blunt weapons.
If you have ToB however, then thanks to a certain High Level Ability your kensai/thief can then use all armour and equipment, essentially creating a kensai with no disadvantages. [ 04-08-2003, 07:46 AM: Message edited by: Jim ] |
1. Your kensai/THIEF can use any weapon usable by a kensai, for example, a mace. But you won't be able to use bows (the kensai part prevents it). Nevertheless, you will be able to use throwing axes. Well, it's a bug in the game most likely :D There are several very good perpetual throwing axes around.
2. Your kensai/THIEF won't be able to use any kind of armor. Again, the kensai part prevents it. In the other words, your AC will be your weakness. Give your kensai/THIEF Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Protection +2 and Cloak of Sewers. |
