I am an archer and i want to be able to get the paladin stronghold. I have the Ease of Use: "All Strongholds" installed. When i first come to Windspear after I kill the other paladins (illusionary monsters) i go to talk to Garren Windspear. That is where the bug comes in, he just tells me he feels glad that this is all over. The problem is that the thing he is referring to has not happened yet, his son/daughter has not been abducted, but he won't talk to me further...

so i wondre if this is what usually happens in this mod or if im just unlucky. Is it possible to become a knight of the order even if i cant talk to him. he gives you this quest, right?

Anyway, it's not supposed to happen that way, Tyrion. Perhaps you should try reinstalling EoU, or even get a newer version? You seem to have alot of problems with it. ;) </font>

I just had that bug like 2 days ago. Even finishing the quest won't help.

I had this bug too. I got around it by attacking Garren's child (for some reason she couldn't die) and then following her outside. She then said something about helping Garren, and the bandits appeared and took her (still outside). When I went inside everything was back to normal, and another Garren appeared and asked to save his daughter.

Try that.

Another option is, I believe, to just head to Lord Jierdan's Lair as normal, then right before you enter, Garren will warp in & tell you that his child was abducted, same as if you'd received the information first-hand.
