I have another dilemma with my Cavalier and his sister Imoen.

Should I make Crom Faeyr or keep the Frost Giant belt - STR 21.

Because if I use the belt and DUHM I get 25 STR and can dualwield FOA and DOE or whatever.

My original STR is 18/78.

Any suggestions ?

I say go for Crom.Insta-kill Trolls is good for De`Arnise Hold id you have not done it yet.

But then again there is not really big numvers od trols in the game.So choice No.2.

I would go for 2.

If you don't have any profs in warhammers, then Crom is rather useless... then again it is a great weapon (worth putting up some profs in warhammers if you ask me).

There are other good weapons for Cavaliers but... it's up to you what you want.

You already have the Bag of Holding so, you don't need that much stuff in your inventory any how. And the Str. bonusses are easely nullified when drinking potions that boost up your strength.

It's all up to you, do feel you need the Crom Feayr?

He already did the D'Arnise hold, because he state's that he already possesis the FoA.

And there aren't that many trolls in SoA (Unless you have TDD... trolls every corner )

Don't forget that there are many nice belts in the game, naming the belt of interial barrier as on, the Imp. Items mod adds one real good one.

21 Strength isn't all that when you have massive bolts of raw magic thrown at you... ;)

If you make the right character choices, you can have a natural strength of 23/24 by the end of the game. Add that to grand mastery in Katanas and dual wielding, with an upgraded Celestial Fury then laugh as your opponents take obscene amounts of damage.

hahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I don't get out much

BG 1 - 18 starting strength
+1 manual
+1 machine of lum the mad
+1 deck of many things
+2 end of SoA challenges
(+1 cleric symbol stolen from Vicona?)

Anyone care to clear up the high level cleric holy symbol dilemma thats facing me pls

Hmm, but I wear cloak of cheese - I dont't believe belt of inertial barrier would help much - magic damage is nullified with the cheese cloak, ok missile damage I can risk, maybe for dragons +5 saves - but they are rare.

Most of the time I would be battling monsters and the strength difference between 18/78 and 21 is +2 to hit and +5 to damage !

GWW makes that 50 to damage!

I'll stick with the belt and learn something new ! ;)

Um, you only need one proficiency point in Hammers anyways, as I usually use Crom in my off-hand, and CF in the on-hand.

That's actually +3 STR for Fighters taking the evil path in Hell. I doubt you'll be able to use the symbol though. It would surprise me if it wasn't a priest-only item, and you wont have UAI as either a fighter or fighter/mage.

LordSephiroth 03-27-2003 06:49 PM

The priest symbol is not only a priest only item, its also alignment based. I think clerics get it at 24th or 26th lvl. So when viconia....SPOILER!!!!

agreed to try to be a better person and had her alignment change over, she lost the ability to use her holy symbol. Not that big a deal though really as their are other better rings in the game anyways. Oh, btw good job reminding me of the symbol, now my powergaming kensai/thief can have a constant 25 str.
