I mean cmon look at their stats they get good armor class attacks get better can LAY HANDS gets immune to poison and later on gets immune to NON magical weapons. And their only disadvantage is using thieve's weaopons and not wearing armor thats IT anybody else agree?

Monks are pretty bad to start out, which evens it out. i like em, and think they are just fine, more fun soloing them though.

Sythe, they're only really powerful when you get them up to 16th level but you start out at 7th. They aren't all that powerful in the beginning, trust me, but they are very powerful in the higher levels.

Oh I see so I guess I won't be a monk then.

They're an absolute liability in the early stages, in some ways. But if you play clever and avoid steaming in while you level up then they DO become a force to be reckoned with.

Maybe not the POWERGAMERS choice, but then I've never been into that kinda thing!

Quivering Palm rocks!

PS: If your monk's stats are right then you CAN wear a certain persons armour

If you think a character is too overpowered, buy him/her so many ales he/she gets drunk. That should balance things out. Trust me

Hmmm, Monk... beer... I know.

*Pops in a tape and watches Drunken Master* :D

Don't forget permanent Free Action as a liability. Improved Haste is so good that just because a Monk isn't affected by it, I think twice before adding one into my party. But then again, I'm more of a hermit myself, so I do use it to roleplay
