how many times do you meet drizzt? ive herd talk of drizzt's party but when i met him he was alone. Also ive heard talk of killing him but from what i saw you dont have a chance my fighter had an ac of -4 and hp of 54 (ok thats not briliant but) he hit him and killed him in one hit the next attack killed my second fighter the same way, I take it you meet him later on and he wont be quite so powerfull..

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . There is a cheap way to kill Drizzt. Dismiss your npcs around him so as to make a shield so he cant get to you. Then you have your main character shoot him or throw darts or whatever. Make sure you have TONS of ammo since he has a very low AC. He gives 12 k exp. 2 swords and some chainmail. I dont remeber what any of the loot does, but its a pretty nice way to level your main a lil. Hope this helps. There are also other strategies on this board.
Anyway you meet Drizzt only once and he is alone. (Maybe you have been reading BG2 board?) Zbyszek |

sort of SPOILER..
. . . . . . . . . . . . i disagree strongly with aryam's strategy for killing drizzt. do you just leave your former party members dead after the battle ? or what ? the way i found most effective is to wait until the very end of the game to meet him ( just leave that portion of his map unexplored) i waited until i had finished TotSC and i had a level 8 fighter with very low AC and a THACO of 3 or 4. i had all the mages and jaheira cast as many animal/monster summons as i had, to create diversions, pelted him with magical arrows/darts/slingstones, snuc the occasional hit in their with my fighter(with potion of cloud giant strentgh of course) and the battle was easily won with no damage whatsoever, and you just gotta love that +3 scimitar with a +2 AC bonus. |

If you DISMISS them from your party, they wont be attacked when your PC attacks Drizzit. As as result, they'll get in his way and stop him from going anywhere. Letting you just beat him to death with whatever weapon you like to use. BTW, would the NPC shield tactic also work with a pole-arm? |
