What level do you suggest on Dual classing Imoen to a mage? Also what do you think most the most essential thief skills for her to be? Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend dual classing Imoen at all in BG I. The levels are too low, best to wait till you have the sequal, BG II. The most important thieving skills by far are find traps and open locks http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

In BG 2 Imoen is already dualed to a mage, Plus if you do the trick to get Deder in your party he is a super thief.

I got Imoen at Lev. 1, and had her train in Pockets & Stealth. I dualed her the instant she hit Lev. 6 (at which point she had 95% in both), and soon I'll give her the Book of Dexterity, so when she gets her Thief skills again, she's really gonna whoop some booty with the Eagle Bow, aside from being a perfect pickpocket. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif She's like my Super-Bard: She can't go brawling in a melee, but she can Stealth. You decide which is better.

I try to build a "perfect party," and this is THE correct thing to do with Imoen in BGI. If/when I get BGII, my opinion of THE correct thing may change. And regardless of what the others say, Imoen IS in fact the best mage in BGI, so you'd be a fool not to Dual her.

Deder's a good Thief, especially since his Stealth is through the roof for some reason, even though he's only Level 2. Still, I prefer Coran, or Shar-Teel, if it comes to that.
