Well, the major problem with the Jaheira romance, is that it's hard. Not because she's a cry-baby like Aerie, but because you can easily make the wrong choice in dialogue. AND without decent patches I've heard the romance can become quite buggy.

Id prefer romancing with Aerie

I have tried both - but havent finished Aerie yet, though my character has "known her"- ahem.

Both seemed easy to screw up - I saved frequently early on for Aerie. She is an unhappy thing - and I was worried the wrong answer would end the fling. In fact one time I spoke a little harsh to her - and off she went, equipment and all.

I used Shadow Keeper to change both their pictures - Jaheira is definately a two bagger - blech.

jaheira romance is the worst i think, unless you install the lovemod then its a bit better but still is kinda poor compared to the others.

dont *ever* let her get petrified or otherwise remove her from the party - it immediatly screws up her romance.

and most times you can respond with a "balance" oriented answer and get by fine

I have *never* completed Jaheira's Romance or her Harper quest, and it's not from lack of trying, either. The quests that are determined by time seem almost guaranteed to screw up. Perhaps a new component for the Ease-of-Use MOD, in which all RomanceActive variables are automatically reset to 2 every day, might be in order.

Well... just my $0.02 worth, but in all the times( which is pretty rare) that I have had Jaheira, I always managed to complete her quests and/or romance. It is not so much the timing I think, but the sequence in which you do her quests.

With the Baldurdash Fixpack alone, you should experience no problems.

Jaheira, personally, I can put up with. It's not so much annoying, but it's just depressing because all she talks about is the dead, despressing. Aerie is just a pain until the end of the game because all she does is is complain about her wings, but then again you can't blame her, she did get them hacked off with rusted knives you know [img]graemlins/uhoh1.gif[/img]

But as for romancing Jaheira, all you have to do is the Harper Quests and the Bandit Insident and it's all good.
