I'm currently on the quest of that wizard you free (between the three elemental portals). He sent me away to get his book of spells, but then I returned and he wasn't there anymore. Now what the hell happened? Is there something I have missed? I cannot think of anything, because I have done this quest before...

I think he goes to one of the portals, you should find him waiting near one. could be wrong i've only done that quest once

Though the problem is solved I felt I needed to point out a bug I encountered here. Somehow I triggered something in the programing and when this wizard went to the earth elemental portal he ran straight into the elemental and got buried (literally). Kind of useless going for his little black book after that. tried it again from a back-up and it worked fine???.

Sometimes game glitches like that occur. I've had a glitch where my character gets stuck in a particular spot in a fight and can't walk anywhere. He/She can still fight, just can't walk. Just reload and it should be fine, it fixed mine anyway :D

Ps- Link, I think he is near the Earth Elemental Gate.
