I have tried everything for a romance with Jaheira, and it seems that I only get so far and it just doesn't seem to happen. Is there a crucial trigger in the game that I'm missing? Does Viconia make a difference having her in the group even if your rude to her? The Romance with Viconia seems like a cakewalk as compared with Jaheira.
Anyone have any tips? Thanks for any help |
It's difficult to help without knowing how far you are in the romance and when the dialogs have stopped. The romance is known as buggy however in some instances events are triggered by for example resting in a wilderness area, it could be something like that that you need to do to trigger the next dialog. I'll try to help the best I can as I've done the romance although I'm a little rusty as I did it in my first game which is a long time ago, but I'll try to help if I can, so were in the romance are you?

Thanks for the reply
I have actually finished the game a five times and have tried the romance with Jaheira about 3 times and had never got beyond "good friends". I do all the Jaheira side quests like Baron Ployer and the Harpers and try to be as sweet as pie when answering her questions. I seem to only get so far with her and was wondering if there was a quest that I was missing. |
Do you do the picture in the locket thing in the docks?

If you want to know, I'll tell you but beware for
Spoilers... * * * * * * * * * * * * * Actually there is a vital quest or event that takes place that you need to do with Jaheira or the romance will never proceed. What you need to do is sleep outside somewhere, not in a city or dungeon (such as the land outside the de'Arnise Keep, Windspear, Umar, and so forth). When you wake up, Bandits will have Jaheira captive and you have to take a shot (I recommend) for her so she doesn't get hurt. A big battle breaks out and when all if fine, Jaheira will get mad at you (in a good way) and things will proceed. Another thing you can do, you don't need to, but what you can do is go to the Docks District in Athkatla and speak to a plump merchant next to the temple and he'll give you (if you want) a locket with a magical enchantment of Jaheira and you in arms. I think that is it.. thank you.
I've never heard anything about a locket before, so I will try it. I have however taken a shot for Jaheira from the bandits, and I thought that it would have been the trigger, but nothing in terms of romance after it happened. Maybe I need to sleep outside with her a little more often. Thank you for your welcome |
