I have a problem with BG2. Some asshat stole my E drive (the one I originally installed BG2 and ToB on).
"No problem" I think, "I will just use my DVD drive then". But BG2 won't let me. It asks me to put the appropriate CD into drive E (the one missing). In BG1 I could solve this by editing Baldur.ini. What should I do with BG2? |
I had a similar problem, the drive you use to install BG II - SoA/ToB on will be automaticly set to the primary cd drive for the BG cds, he will not let you use an other drive like D or C (in this case your Dvd drive).
I never really tested it, but you can: 1 - copy cd 2 (need this one to play) to your HD.. 2 - Re-Install whole BG II and use your DVD drive to do so. Otherwise...erm... ''screwed'' I think :( |
Where in the hell does BG2 store the information about the primary CD drive?
It was in an .ini in BG1. It must be somewhere in BG2. |
It should be in baldur.ini in the main baldurs gate 2 folder. I have a no-cd crack so mines dosent, but thats where it should be, in theory.

You could change your DVD-drive letter to E:.
