Baaargh! after much pootling around the docks district i have stumbled across the nasty Lich chap that is hiding under one of the buildings! first time round i was totally unprepared and got my botty whacked when he stopped time on me.

But the second time around i got all setup with me monsters and chaps all in the right positions! But after opening the coffin i whacked "Q" to quick save me game because of what happened last time...but now it seems the Lich was spawned but has somehow been vanquished elsewhere because of the timing of the save game!

When i re-click on the coffin it sez "the corpse cannot be removed until u defeat the guardian"....no guardian! seems to have popped out for a big mac n fries!

What i was thinking is...if i go away for a bit will the Lich come back? or am i pretty much stuffed on that account? didn't have a chance to try it again as i forgot about it and decided to beat the snot out of the nasty Harper chaps.

No, he won't come back. You're right, the timing of your Quicksave probably screwed some things up, and you're not likely to be able to get them back.

Let's see--you already overwrote your Auto-Save by leaving the room; what did you do with your "named" Save?

Yea, pretty sure the Quicksave screwed it up, your best bet is to just reload another saved game, even if it was from awhile back.
