I don't know for sure but wouldn't it be pretty dumb for my anti-paladin to use this sword. On each hit the target receives a cumulative 2 point penalty to their THACO. Would the anti-p hits dispell this, or for that matter all other weapons' effects? i.e. Sanchu's acid res. lowering, Gnashers extra damage, CF stunning etc.

No, that's the Unholy Reaver. The Soul Reaver does the -2 to THACO only. The Anti-pal's special ability dispels magic on a successful hit. So I'm wondering if the dispel magic dispels everything, even the effects of weapons I'm using.

AFAIK, the 2 point THAC0 penalty is non dispellable (its 100% duration based). Your Anti-Paladin will not counter act the weapons abilities.

I don't know about Soul Reaver, but item effects tend to be undispellable. I know for sure that Fury's Stun and Ages' Slow are undispellable.

All you need is the Item Upgrade Mod, Soul Reaver +4, Heart of the Damned, Carsomyr and merely 20,000 Gold, and in exchange you'll have your brand new...

So is anyone immune to THACO drain? I can imagine the Soul Reaver rendering just about any boss harmless in mere seconds. Whack Ascension Melissan or Abizigal a few times with that thing and they should be unable to score a single hit on you.
