I'm planning a very evil and powerful party.
Me - Evil barbarian (physical immunity anyone ?)
Valen, Solaufein
and I was thinking of a late dual but I cannot decide which is better:
Anti-paladin/mage or Kensai/mage.

I want to try a LATE dual which level do you suggest - maybe 21 ?

I will take them to end of TOB. I'm sure my party will support my late dual by the time he reactivates his primary class.

When do you think that will happen ?

If you are going to a mage, then yes to L21. That just about lets you get to L22 as a mage.

We also get power attack and critical strike HLAs (my Kensai is currenly L20, guess what I'm doing with him next level ;) ).

The anti-paladin/mage would also be a powerhouse - I wouldnt like to meet him on a dark night

Just remember to boot everyone from your party before you start to scribe your scrolls, and erase the spells from your spellbooks if you have duplicate scrolls. Lots of EXP

Hey, what's the physical immunity trick? I probably need it for my naked barbarian solo.

Are Anti-Paladins good?
Can they turn Paladins like Paladins turn Undead?
That would be nice!

Fiend 02-27-2003 08:59 AM

Anti-paladins can charm undead instead of turning them but the downfall is they cant use carsomyr.

shame, an evil paladin with carsomyr charming the lich in the twisted rune quest..........

we can all dream

Heh... Some clarification needed. ;)

Spoilers ahead, highlight to read.

The +25% Physical Resistance bonus is the reward for Ascension's forth and final challenge. No way to get it before -- not even in The Nine Hells. ;) The forth challenge takes place just before the Final Battle of ToB, so you only get to enjoy that so called "physical immunity" for, what, 0.007% of the game? ;) If you really want high physical immunity, go with the Fighter/Thief, instead, and abuse Use Any Item.

As for Anti Paladins -- they are a part of Weimer's Tactics Mod. They can't Turn Undead, use any Paladin-Only items nor charm Undead. The Anti Paladin is basically an evil Inquisitor.
