I wanted to solo an elf sorc but I figured out that I did't want to do it all by myself so I picked up Aire(wrong spelling, I know). Right Now I also have Yoshimo but I am dropping him soon. I also intend to romance with Soulafein...
Is this good or does it take away the lot of XP i need for the sorc? I kinda miss the interaction between NPCs when soloing...am i not normal... |
It is a quite often the reason stated by people who have become jaded with soloing. The other being that keeping a whole party alive is half of the challenge.
You are definately not alone. People say that three character parties are nice because they don't sacrifice that much of the power in soloing while you can still have some interaction going on. |
Some spoilers
* * * * * * * * * I'm just about to enter suldanessar with my created 4 person party. The xp wont matter as my characters are quite high. I'm a level 25 monk, with a lvl 25 priest of helm, a lvl 28/9 swashbuckler and a lvl 19 or 20 sorc. the sorc is very good at all lvls as long as you pick the right spells. i found spook a must against dragonsbut resis has to be lowered, minor sequencer also comes in very handy. i would also drop airie and pick up a druid as they get some very good spells and high lvl abilities.IMHO, there downfall is they can't summon skeletons or riase dead although they can cast harpers call. Ann (can I call you Ann? ;) ) is right. Druids don't get any revival spells. Although they can use Rod of Ressurection.

Can you guys give me some tips when (semi-) soloing my sorc?
How do I keep enemies from coming too close to me? My stoneskin is running out |
Let's say... Teleport Field? Summons? Mislead? Imp. Haste?
|
But im kinda following the spell list of Dundee Slaytern
|
The computations are simple:
1. Each character in your party gets an equal share of XP. 2. Each active class of a particular character gets an equal share of the character's amount of XP. Examples: 1. A solo fighter/mage/thief reaches the same levels in his classes as each member of a party of three dual class characters - because the FMT gets all XP and divides them between his 3 classes while each member of the party gets one third of XP which he does not divide further. 2. A solo sorcerer with Aerie and Yoshimo gets one third of XP. Aerie gets another third which she divides between her 2 classes and Yoshimo gets the last third. After dropping Yoshimo, your socrerer will get one half, Aerie - mage will get one fourth and Aerie - cleric will also get one fourth. Therefore, estimate the total amount of XPs available, catch your calculator, and see what you can reach with a particular party. |
Yeah i got that actually, i just wonderd if it will be hard or unbalanced...i know how the xp is divided...
