After doing most the quests in ust natha, all that was left to do was swap the eggs and arrive at the ritual. I decided to go with solafeins plan, so i swithed them as normal. I exited the temple without anyone seeing me although everyone in the temple went hostile, and EVERYONE in the city was hostile, well apart from a dog. Hasted my characters and went straight to phaere without attacking anyone and she turned hostile! needless to say i tried it again, same thing so i wiped out the city.
I havent seen anyone mention this before so i just wondered has it happened to anyone else? |
What happened exactly? IIRC, only the golems in the egg room and the guards before the room should become hostile. Haven't you entered some forbidden areas in the temple? Haven't you attacked someone without being attacked first? Why everybody in the temple became hostile? Perhaps, the problems originate there.
As you know surely, every quest and a lot of other actions in the Drow City are timed. Haven't you missed some deadline? |
its [retty much like this.....
possible plot spoilers i guess .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . when you go to the temple to swap the eggs there will be 2 guards infront you will have to neatralise them. take care of guardian golemns inside, and swap the eggs , then proceed to phaerie to giver the other fake eggs. if the whole temple goes hostile u obviously did something wrong ie, they shouldnt know about it. you should be able to walk out roll over to phaeries n proceed as planned, so either u killed some more people or they found out in some other way . orrrr you mightve missed the deadline ,as said above. most droq quests are timed, maybe u rested a few times and time runs out exactly when your stealin the stuff (long shot) either way just try reloadin and doing it again , just open the hatching room doors, the guards will become hostile u kill them then go inside switch the eggs and kill the golems then walk out. let us know how ya go |
Last time I played they ALL went hostile on me as well.
I even reloaded to try again, and I still got the pleasure of killing them all It's probably just a bug, doesnt really matter - they are only drow. |
And congratulations to myself for just attaining the rank of crappy 'Manshoon'.
I mean, ffs, what is a manshoon? Can I kill people with it? No! Does the avatar look good? No! It sounds like some sort of tropical rainstorm. |
Manshoon is the leader of the Zhentarim. He has scores of inert duplicates of himself hidden various places. If he should die, a random duplicate awakens and takes over.
This is BTW much how the D&D 3rd edition version of Clone works. Like a resurrection preparable in advance. |
You need to eliminate the two guards standing outside the egg room.
|
If you come in sight of other Drows in the Temple when you are eleminating the Guards outside the Egg Chamber they will see your treachery and initiate combat with you... turning them hostile... (other drow)
An other note, do not use area of effect spells like cloudkill and fireball because the risk is to big you'll hit other non-hostile drow making them hostile. About the Manshoon, there was a topic about him a few weeks ago in GD. Here is a picture of him.
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/EP...1_Manshoon.jpg
From the Rule's and Regulations Quote:

Take a cleric with Sanctuary and switch the eggs, or send a mage with Mislead and whack their constructed arses with rod of ... golem ... killing (the name, the name).
