Now before you tell me this should go on the BG 1 board think for a second, many of the people there don't have BG 2 so therefore they won't know anything about my problem.

I want to play a monk through BG 1 all the way through TOB but this isnt possible, so i was wondering if there were any kind of mods or anything that would grant me the ability to play a monk through BG 1, or even do the same with a sorcerer.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Unfortunately there is no way to play these classes in BG1.

You could always modify your stats in Shadowkeeper to 'simulate' ;) a BG1 run with one of these classes.

<font color=white>When you Import your character from BG I to BG II, you can use SK to modify your imported Char. with the class you want (Monk/Sorcerer).

However it is NOT possible to play a Monk or Sorcerer in BG I, just play with a mage or fighter and when you import him/her to BG II change his/her stats/class so he/she become's the class you want him/her to be.</font>

Baldus Gate Trilogy is a mod in progress that imports BG1 into BG2, so you can play through the entire saga with a Bg2 character. Including sorcerors and monks.

Its not finished yet though, and the download is going to be more than 3 gigabytes.

they have any guess as to how long before it's finished? huge download but my bg is broken and i so want to play

They seem to be nearly at beta stage. But they havent heard from interplay yet, so they may still shut it down. Which would suck.
