I am starting a solo sorcerer and it has just occured to me that I have no way to detect traps. Does anyone have any advice on how to detect/disarm traps with a sorcerer?

Hmmmm I don't think that your name is appropiate on this forum.
But I will leave that to the moderators here. First of all Welcome to IW... bite the dust when it come's to traps with solo sorc. Use Mirror Image (level 2 wizard/sorc. spell) to counter the effects you get by triggering a trap. |

As for the question, I'm afraid there's no way for a Sorcerer to detect/disarm traps if he's going solo. But don't freak out, traps aren't really that strong in BG2. You'll survive most of them. ;) |
Hehehehe aint this a great forum Sir Exxon ;) ..

Thanks guys,
Wow that was fast I just posted like 2 minutes ago and I already got 3 replies. This forum rocks, I have been monitoring this forum for some time, but I just now decided to join because I was stumped on my sorcerer question. "The Only Certainty is Uncertainty" |

stoneskin can help too, most traps in the game act as magic so eventually things like spell immunity will make you more or less invunerable

Stone skin and Mirror image will save you 99% of the risk of tetting hit by a trap. So with those spells on, you should be ok

If it is a fireball-like spell, you can cast haste to run of of the blast radius.
