bg1 you can steal one of them, i dont know about bg2

You could cheat yourself a copy

You won't be able to steal his swords because you can't pickpocket someone's equipped weapons or armor. In BG1, dual-wielding wasn't implemented, so one of his swords was not considered equippped.

Another question: Why doesn't Frostbrand provide fire protection?

And, anyway, these Scimitars are not so kick-### as they were in BG1.

why steal them... you will only lose them again if you have not installed the ease-of-use-mod, and they arent that great I think... if you really want them use shadowkeeper to give yourself the Icingdeath and Frostband
