In the middle of my game i suddenly noticed that I was a Fallen Archer !!?
I don't know how it happened...I maybe killed a civilian or two with a misplaced fireball without noticing....*sigh* (my guess is the prisonner in Maevar guild...shrug...I will never know for sure).

Now my questions are :

- Is it possible to become a regular archer back ?
- Will that change anything in my game (didn't do the stronghold quest yet for example) or is it just a title to remind me always that I've been a bad bad bad ranger ?

Thx for the possible answers

1. Dunno if you can become an archer again. I don't think so, although IIRC then fallen paladins get their abilities back during the stronghold quest maybe something similar happens for rangers

2. I think you'll have lost all the abilites of a ranger but I THINK you can still do the stronghold quest. I'm sure someone will corect me if I'm wrong

Oooh then thaz why I can't use the ability that make you aiming better (don't know the name in english sorry) anymore...

I lost it forever ?

That would be a bad bad news...

rangers can fall just like paladins, their rules are just less stringent. Proably did happen when you killed the pheasant. You lose all the bonuses of your class. i think you basically become a straight fighter

I heard you can become a non-fallen character again after you complete the stronghold quest.

You should regain your archer status once you've completed the ranger stronghold quest. Make sure your reputation is high enough before completing it or you might fall again.

I will try that, thx a lot.

Player's Handbook says:

"A ranger must always retain his good alignment. If the ranger intentionally commits an evil act, he automatically loses his ranger status. Thereafter he is considered a fighter of the same level (if he has more experience points than a fighter of his level, he loses all the excess experience points). His ranger status can never be regained. If the ranger involuntarily commits an evil act (perhaps in a situation of no choice), he cannot earn any more experience points until he has cleansed himself of that evil. This can be accomplished by correcting the wrongs he committed, revenging himself on the person who forced him to commit the act, or releasing those oppressed by evil. The ranger instinctively knows what things he must do to regain his status (i.e., the DM creates a special adventure for the character)."

BTW, it is called Called Shot in english (forgive the pun).

I know it's bad form, but I did chuckle when I read this!
