Ok, I am in the Asylum and have been captured by Irenicus. I enter what appears to be a dream sequence were I enter a partially ruined castle area and meet up with Bhaal. I am able to get him down to badly injured fairly quickly, but can never finish him off. After seeing that his is badly injured, I inflict over 100 more points of damage (actualy about 130) and he is still standing. Eventually he wears me down and kills me. Is there any way tio actually kill him???

There is.
Don't fight him, enter the library instead .

You still have to fight him, though you have to fight him in the library.
