i am currently playing through the game with an evil party, but my friend who is also playng through the game but with a good party was in the graveyard about to embark on the final battle with bodhi. when she summuned up that squad of vampires, he used the daystar to cast sunray and killed them all. under inspection it seems that one of the vampires took a massive 1040 hp of damage in one go before they died. is this an error or just a huge amount of damage liad down by the forces of good.....?

you only see undead during the night, and when they hit sunlight... they die so. its kinda like when a vampire hits the sunlight.

i think they have a penalty of..... -300 to that kinda magic or something

IIRC the damage caused by sunray against undead creatures and shadows is 1047 hit points. It's just a way for programmers to implement instant death for those creatures. It's kind of same issue as with Arkanis Gath's infamous Killsword.
