When I come across him in the battle with the gnolls, is there any particular tricky dialogue sequence I should know about to get him to join my party? My party is on it's way to the gnoll fortress so that we can help Minsc get his chick back. Will Drizzt come with us or will he have his own agenda? If he does, I won't even go by to pick him up. Thanks for all the help.

Unfortuneatly, Drizzt won't join.... I wish he could though...

HO hoho drizzt join your party hohoho
if he did you could take down sarovok here and now!

no im sorry friend he doesnt join you but he tells you where the bandits camp is and if your feeling lucky you can kill him and take his el neato stuff. If you want me to tell you two el cheapo tricks in killing him just ask?

Telchar of Nogrod 09-09-2001 01:48 AM

I read somewhere that he would. Sorry for the stupid question.

I am reluctant to spoil you about Drizzt... I guess will say only that if you are relatively low level I would recommend avoiding him completely for now. Leave him be and come back when you are at least level 5 and ask again for advice on how to deal with him. If you are already level 5 or higher and want to be spoiled I will tell you.

don't forget to pick pocket him bro!

Lemernis 09-09-2001 09:33 AM

SPOILER

Keep in mind what happens when a pickpocket is unsuccessful... If you take your character from BG1 into BG2 there will consequences down the line for harming Drizzt.

If you are roleplaying a good party then it would be evil to pickpocket him... Unless you feel you can justify placing your needs above whatever his may be (and there is no way to know if his need for his items is greater than yours)...

The Ozzman 09-10-2001 12:13 AM

is there really an alteration is his mood in BG2 towards you if you pick pocketed him? Damn that would suck.

Xrayted82 09-13-2001 01:21 AM

What if you are successful? Would that affect things?

Kaz 09-13-2001 03:04 AM

Warning about the pick-pocket: I do not know why, but I was not able to pick-pocket Drizzt. To be exact, the &*%^ computer told me he had no items! I do not know why this happens, but remember to save before trying to pick-pocket.
