This post isn't just for people to talk about a simple group of vamps or golems they've run into, on insane level, no, this is a post for best Boss Fight. You know, as in Firkragg, Mae'Var, Bohdi, and so forth. Tell peeps of Iron Works what was the boss fight you all really took pride in beating, and share it. Feel free to spoil all you want weither it's plain chessy, or a one time thing.

*By the way, I know there was a similar post before, but I want to know how you all stood up against the bigger dudes of the game*

Uuuuuuuuh. I dunno. My uncle says the were all pretty hard.I did'nt get anywhere in the game.He said killing Irenicus was the hardest.I never got past irenicus' dungeon. :D

Two efforts...

1) Killed Improved Irenicus with a regular old quarter staff.

2) Petrified Improved Irenicus with the wand of wonder (in a moment of desperation).

Had to be the first time I fought Firkragg. Naturally, I was a cavalier, so I was looking forward to this. Being a former player of console RPGs, nothing prepared me for the battle. It was amazing, and though it took me like 50 reloads, I finally beat him. I stood toe-to-toe sharing blows, while my party (a custom party of a Half-Orc Barbarian, a Halfling Thief, a human Sorceress, an elven Priestess, and a Half-Elf Archer) supplemented my attacks. Finaly, he fell, and for the first time in a long time, I was proud of a task i accomplished in a video game.

I'm looking forward to trying the improved dragons mod, although I'm not sure where to find it. :(

Either my 2 hit defeat of Mae'Var or the possibly shortest final battle with Irenicus.

My battle with Irenicus, I didn't even have to reload once. It was very short too.

Anything where I win by the skin of my teeth. My low-level party (headed by a Level 12 Wizard Slayer) just took out the Balor, and we wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for the Ring of Free Action, the Firecam Full Plate, a Fire Elemental, and a Remove Fear. Nobody died, but.....my PC's health was at 7 out of 159 hitpoints. I was about ready to call upon Imoen to cast Strength and jump in with her Staff+3.

i simply loved facing Firkraag..... i totally never saw it coming that he was a dragon.... such a cool looking one at that !

when i saw him i was like HOLY SH*T..... it was pretty much back to the drawing board n started summoning and spell protecting like mad

ROFL* i actually tought at first that it was firkraag with his petdragon*ROFL

the fact that i was to low a level made the battle real intence , i also found out the cheesy ways to win well the offscreen thing but i didnt like it, so i wanted a real battle n god did i ever get it.... also got alot of reloads :D

Not really a boss fight per say, but, that group that ambushes you in the Underdark has caused me several reloads on many occasions. They are well armed, highly skilled, and, depending on my character levels, usually hand my arse to me a few times. I feel as if I am fighting a party that had been through the game and beat me to the area. That freak with the Dragon's Breath halbred always seems to make a frickin bee line right for my mage, usually Imoen.

I swear, I think that particular war party could wipe the floor with any dragon in the game. Brutally ugly chaps with no manners. They are the sole reason I no longer rush to the Underdark, I usually wait a good long time and spend more time in the city gaining levels. A gated pit fiend or two usually evens up the odds a bit.

A serious PITA they are.

I would have to say that the fight with Irenicus in the Asylum. All i did was cast Power word blind on him, he went blind(unable to cast spells really). then i took him out with my ranger/archer. the clones were more of a challenge for gods sake!
