Well I have Throne Of Bhaal installed on my computer as well as Tactics Mod.I am currently soloing with an Assasain and i was wondering on wich level is reccomended to DC him on Fighter.I want to get backstabb x7 and UAI ability. BTW i was reading topic about Swashbulcker takes out Improved Irenicus and i was deeply impressed on Swashie.I was thinkhing to start a new game and try with him, becuase i never soloed with Swashie before. Does he get Greater Whirlwind attack? Thanx Xen |
UAI requires at least lvl 24 and I think 7x Backstab is at lvl 21, so you're going to be without your Thief abilities for a long if you want any of those abilities.
The Swashie only gets the normal Whirlwind attack which gives you a -4 Penalty to your attack rolls. But that is outweighed by the outstanding combat bonuses a Swashie gets |
Why do you want to dual to a fighter??? No offense, Xen, but if you wanted a fighter/assassin, you would have been better advised to begin in the fighter class. You would gain more hit points and better THAC0 abilities. PLUS, you could dual at level 13, because your attacks/round stop increasing after that.
Also, the thief class is the fastest to level up (needing only 220,000 per level after 9th). Then you would have the abilities from both classes and still have the x7 Backstab and UAI to look forward to. My suggestion would be to dual to a spellcasting class. I plan to dual my assassin to a mage after level 21 or 24. That still means a long wait before I can use my thief abilities, but at least I'll be able to use daggers better than your average mage. |
Yes, but it is not possible to dual to a kit, only from a kit.

Uhh....ooops....I forgot about that little fact.
I hate that rule. I REALLY wanted to dual-class my Wizard Slayer to a Bounty Hunter rather than a straight thief. I just love those nasty traps Yoshimo used to set. :D |
FWIW, dualling to a kit can be done with shadowkeeper.
I'm not sure dualling to a bounty hunter is such a great idea. From what I understand, the Otiluke's Sphere and Maze traps can be more of an annoyance to the trapper than the trapee! |
Well, I am speaking from a PnP prospective, but, Maze traps are wonderful.
Maze something irratating and nasty. Then have your Cleric and your Mage cast various symbols (Like Symbol Silence, Stun, Blindness, Fear, Death, right on top of the Maze spawn spot. When said nasty finally gets out of that horrid maze he gets to have a really fun surprise party. Gate in a Pit Fiend right on top of that one magical wonderful happy spot. Nothing will ruin your day like an angry Fiend who is looking to vent his frusterations because he got gated in. I am fairly sure this will work quite well in game as well. Have fun :D |
