I have completed the slavers quest, rescued the three children and returned the the copper coronet. I approached Hendak at the top of the stairs, but he has nothing to say to me. I thought he was supposed to cough up some real goodies. What did I do wrong? Thanks.

I believe I have rescued all the children: 1 in room with trolls (gave her $100) 1 in room to right of corridor, 1 in room to left of corridor. I killed everything in sight. I'm stumped.

why not use shadowkeeper to give you the minor treasures youl get from hendak and change your rewarded exp. for that quest... problem solved i think ,,,
only minor thing is.. dunno what you get from him, 2night ill load up a save game just after the slaver massacre and see what that slave morons gives you (probely worth nothing but ya its a start)

finally... (if you need it... not much but hmmm never mind :D )
the ass whipe Hendak will give you this for rescuing the little childeren from the evil dark vile slaver lord

My first question is, Why is Hendak at the top of the stairs? It sounds to me like you did the Slave Ship quests correctly, but to complete the quest proper, you need to clean house at the Copper Coronet as well, and if Hendak isn't standing behind the counter (on top of Lehtinan's warm wet corpse), something got interrupted.

My second question is the typical something-went-wrong response: Do you have a backup Save?

Install the official patch, too.

i once had hendak dissapear after he gave me the second quest. didnt turn up at all.
