I'm in trademeet and I just saved the town from the animals. After I talk to the mayor two people come up to me and tell me they need my help. Should I go to the Alibakkar Estate or the Lurraxol Estate?
One more thing. One of the merchants has a long sword called the Ras +2. The description says it attacks on its own for 4 rounds. How does that work? [ 01-09-2003, 05:21 PM: Message edited by: Intimadater ] |

Ras is sold by that nobleman down by the stalls. And yes it does quite literally attack on it's own. You click on it's icon in the item ability menu and the sword briefly becomes a summoned creature under your control looking as a levitating sword. When the time is up it will return to your inventory. Don't worry too much about losing it as it is immuny almost everything. A good sampler of the awesome power of the Mordenkainen's Sword spell. Ras is a fine blade, but remember that beside it's special ability it is really only a longsword. I rarely use it as anything else but a summon.
It doesn't matter what noble you chose. They are both equally retarded. If you want the love and admiration of the people you should follow down the plot twist that occurs halfway through the quest. For the more callaous of mind there is an <item spoiler> . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Elven Chain mail awaiting you if you follow your assigned task with no regard to interventions. |
I must have done that a few dozen times and never actually remember getting a reward - perhaps I'm just an uppity bald virgin at heart.
What are the stats on the Elven chain (usuable by thief/spellcasters?) |
It is a ganz normales chaim mail except for these characteristics:
It is usable by thieves. It does not prevent spellcasting, which makes it an obvious favourite of many fighter/mages, thief/mages and bards. It is very vivid green. A note to thieves: While they can wear this armour it will still give penalties to their thieving skills, so unless they are spellcasters they are probably better off with a suit of enchanted leather. |
I like Ras a whole lot. Either give it to Jan or Imoen, and, in tight spots, they can summon a mini tank to give them a breather to start casting spells. Also works for ranged characters I am sure, like Archers, when the heat is on.
When in a real pickle, nothing is better then throwing as many bodies as you can at your enemies. |
