Hey, I just got my celestial fury in my evil party game. Anyways, I have finally run into Kuroisan about 1 day after I received the sword. Naturally, I do not want to give him/her the sword so a fight ensues. Here is my question, Kuriosan seems to vanish into thin air during a fight, it happens every time I rush at him/her (I can't tell Gender because of obvious voice characteristics ) Just poof and hes gone, Its not invisibility because I have true sight running and no dice. Is this supposed to happen, or is my game bugged in some way?

No it's supposed to happen alright. I guess it's to prevent cheesy "withering tactics" such as equipping a solo Paladin with a crossbow, boots of speed and firing an arrow or two each round for 30 minutes.

I guess he's meant to be taken down in a straight and swift battle, and if you can't do that, then you don't deserve the blade I assume [img]smile.gif[/img]

Kuroisan runs because he doesn't want to die. Just like you do when fighting someone who's winning. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Does he come back to fight you again? I read here that he did, but in my game I only got one shot at him and I never saw him again.

yeah, he kept running away and vanishing never to be seen again (and, I wasn't exactly winning I just neutralized his spell protections) I eventually had to reload a few times, on about the 8th reload I took down his spell protections and did a TON of damage with my melee fighters (who were buffed to the gill with spells and potions, storm giant strength, improved haste,THACO bonuses, ect ect) He just didn't have a opportunity to vanish on me. Its just sort of annoying I guess, for such a powerful character, Kuroisan uses some pitiful tactics, and sometimes you can be in melee range and poof he disappears (and not invisibility, I have true sight running the entire time since mirror image is so annoying)
