- The most annoying area for me was Firewine dungeon -I was in Chapter 3, lv5: narrow corridors, traps and that raving hordes of Kobold Veterans (resurrecting if you reloaded or went out of dungeon).
The hardest was Degrodels house in BG - I was in Chapter 5, lv 7: I bumped surprisingly at his "servants". After acquiring helm of Balduran for him he summoned next party of "servants" and in this moment I reloaded and just killed him http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I would have to agree that the Firewine/Ulcaster/Gullykin dungeon is the most frustrating dungeon crawl for the reasons you gave.

Until I finally figured out winning strategies the final battle seemed almost unwinnable. When I played the game the first time through beginning back in January I though I would just try to play it through in a few weeks (right!) because I wanted to get to BG2, which I had heard was better. So I skipped almost every sidequest in BG1/Tales and made a beeline to the final battle. I got there in 70 days, but ended up going back above ground to the big city to burgle some palaces in order to bankroll every possible item at Sorcerous Sundries I figured might help me, and went back down into the Undercity for the showdown at day 74.

I was only at levels 5-6 and I absolutely got my clock cleaned every time I tried that battle. The 'tatoo of power' kept desimating my party.

So I held on to my save prior to the final battle, of course, and went back out adventuring. I did the ToSC quests in order to level up, acquire the highest caliber weapons, armor, etc., figuring my party was too weak to win at level 5-6. But still, from time to time I would go back to that earlier save camped outside the Temple of Bhaal and kept noodling around with different strategies in the final battle anyway. After a few weeks I finally found a winning formula.

It wasn't annoying, but that was definitely the biggest stumper I faced. Aec'Letec was also very tough until I finally figured him out.

It is not that I am complaining but it seems obvious that any pool concerning anything will be a spoiler. Even such one: the hardest task in the Candlekeep Prolog http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
