No matter how many times I keep playing SOA I keep discovering new things or realising that I've been doing something stupid, repeatedly. I'm looking for those things that make you go "Doh!" or those things that made you go "wow!". I tend to start *loads* of games, but very rarely get past chapter 4.

First time I ever played I was so overawed by the trolls in the De'Arnise keep I actually dual-classed Yoshimo into a Fighter and gave him specialisation in Flails! Looking back, that was funny (I'd gone straight to the Copper Coronet, recruited Nalia and Anomen and went straight there!)

Biggest moment of enlightenment was when I wondered why a shield in Aerie's backpack wasn't greyed out. I really struggled keeping her alive until that moment of clarity - she can carry a shield AND wear a helmet!

Discovering the joys of traps was another (and now poison traps - wow!)

Realising that if my Fighters cast Draw Upon Holy Might and increased their Con before leveling up, any bonus hitpoints they gained from the Con bonus were permanent [img]smile.gif[/img]

i'm still waiting for that moment of enlightenment on the flayer murders quest. trying to talk to the animal tamer in the circus...but there's the unfortunate fact that i can never seem to find him.

Flayer murders? In the bridge district, right?

the animal tamer is a bum steer. It's all in the Bridge District. talk to the hobo in the north east, then talk to the maiden-of-ill-repute near the main tavern. her and the merchant right next to her are all you need. don't worry about the kid that's mentioned either, he just directs you to some woman who sells potions or scrolls or something.

my moments of enlightenment are many and varied. Top 2 are
all thieving skills other than find traps and lockpick
and lots of tactics involving mages
