How many boots of speed are there in SoA again ?
My 3-man party has 2 now ( Hear'dalis planar Prison quest + Bodhi's gauntlet )
I keep forgetting i only equipped two with 'em,.. and effectively always leave one Hyperventilating party-member amidst a group of enemies :(

There's another pair in the maze beneath Spellhold. Plus another three pairs available very early on in ToB.

Edit: Sorry you had already gotten the boots in the maze beneath Spellhold, didn't understand what you meant by Bodhi's Gauntlet at first.

The third pair can be found on an NPC in the Shadow Thieves Guildhall. On Renal Bloodscalp to be precise I think.

I killed Aran linvail thinking he had them on him, but now I remember the difference between Bloodscalp and Aran.

P.s. If you sided with the Shadow thieves ( like me )
First cast -feeblemind- on Bloodscalp, and only attack him feebleminded.
This way he never goes hostile and no-one spawns to give the most effective
1 hp damage you've ever seen.

Two nitpicks, though. First, you must cast Feeblemind on all the Shadow Thieves on that floor. Second, if you haven't sided with the Shadow Thieves you can't use this fun little exploit - Bloodscalp won't be there.

You've got both of them... there are only two pairs. One from the Planar Prison and one from Spellhold.

Skuld, read again what Daan and I wrote. You can get the third pair from Renal Bloodscalp - it's just trickier.

While Feebleminded, their script is disabled, so they can't summon our little cheating friend. :D

But a follow-up question :

When I attacked Aran linvail, only feebleminded him, a few shadow thieves turned hostile ... killed them .. no-one appeared, no-one else cared ...

You sure you have to feeblemind them all, for the desired effect ?
( no trouble afterwards with aran linvail or arkanis )
