Can anyone tell me what familiar you get with eachh different alignment and what the special abilities are of each. Thanks

Just started a magic user as a protagonist. Is the magic resistance conferred to the magic-user or only to the familiar? I thought it would be conferred to magic-user, but it is not registering magic resistance on the bio page.
