You can redeem Yoshimo's soul by removing the Geas from his heart.
Bring his heart to a Priest of Ilmater (like the one above the Copper Coronet) and ask him to help you.

Yoshimo will be redeemed, and you'll get a whopping 200,000 Experience Points!

I'm not sure, but i think in one of Weimer's item mods, it can be included in a weapon upgrade (though i thought yoshi was too cool to betray, even if HE felt otherwise about ME)
