hello, after reading some of the bg2 post, i find myself inspired to play bg2 again after nealy 1 and 1/2 years. so instead of using my nearly godly characters i have started over with a new set of characters i have never used before...
it is a little long. bear with me now, here is the thing... i have meaning to use the shapeshifter druid, since i thought its cool to become a greater werewolf since i thought its regenerative powers would make me nearly invincible like those in the game of bg2. i have already tested that thoery with my mage since he has greater shapeshift spell at level 9 and can heal his entire life in 5-10 seconds (when his hp is 5hp left over 52hp) being a greater werewolf. it worked!!!. however when i was a shapeshifter druid, upon reaching lvl 13 (or was it 14) the greater werewolf shapechange sucks!! big time! his regeneration was so little that it was nearly worthless to change into a greater werewolf.. sigh... so upon reaching the higher levels, he is totally mincemeat against the other monsters since he cannot wear any armor... groan... so i ask all of you if that is really the case with the shapeshifter druid? or is there another patch to fix this.. i think i got the latest patch... oh btw, here is my new party multiplayer mode: totemic druid monk soceress bounty hunter priest of talos 5 characters so i think it is a balanced party dont you think? and i havent tried any of these characters so im not really sure of thier true worth and potential. (except the soceress, i had a socerer in NWN and it rocks! Well, there is a certain Weimer's mod called Shapeshifter rebalancing. That mod turns shapeshifters into real killing machines, although there are some things about that mod which makes shapeshifters and druds a bit overpowered.

thats a pretty nice team you got there, except i think the druid isnt that good, especially in the beginning.

i finally found it.. its the ease of use mod... actually it makes the shapeshifters stronger and more balanced (except for a spell). i got the readme on this... what the shapeshifter is suppose to have and what i currently have (b4 the mod was installed)
You Were Supposed To Get a) Base Magic Res 20% | b) Immunity to Normal Weapons | c) Paw = 1d12 slashing | You Actually Got ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ a)Magic Res *LOCKED AT* 20% b)Nothing c)Paw = 1d6 piercing For the Greater Werewolf ... | You Were Supposed To Get | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | a)THAC0 6 | b)Saves 1/1/1/2/1 | c)Base Elemental Res 50% | d)Base Magic Res 40% | e)Immunity to Normal Weapons | f)Paw = +3 Weapon | g)Paw = 2d8 slashing | h)Regeneration 3 HP / second | You Actually Got a)Nothing b)Nothing c)Elemental Res *LOCKED AT* 50% d)Magic Res *LOCKED AT* 40% e)Nothing f)Paw = +2 Weapon g)Paw = 1d6 piercing h)Nothing now the spells that i think are a little overpowering (like the cleric-druid spells) Quote:
