in the planar sphere how do i kill the frst golem none of my weapons hurt him. and also how do i get my mage to have a familiar or a ranger to get a pet. one last thing in the jaheira quest when the assasins come after you how do i get them to stop coming after me.

Now, let me see if I can answer your questions.
1) It takes blunting weapons (clubs, maces, etc), to hurt this Golem. They must also be +1 enchanted. ;)

2)For your Mage to have a familiar (it must be the PC!), you must cast the lvl 1 Mage-spell Find Familiar. For Rangers to have animal companions, or pets, use his innate ability Charm Animal. ;)

3) They have to come after you, or the quest won't proceed. ;) </font>
