I know this may seem like a joke but it is the truth I swear.

Ok I hade just started the game and I was in charecter generation and I had a
kensai {half orc} going, and this is what I roled.

Strength 19
Constitution 19
Dexterity 18
Intelligence 13
Wisdom 18
Charisma 3

I did get the ring of human influence and the blade of rose's so it was
charisma 20.
so I am wondering whats the highest your got your stats???

p.s.I swear it's the truth!!

The total stat value really isn't that amazing. 90, which is quite easily obtained with just about any class and a few minutes spare time. But how it spread over the different stats is quite weird, I've never gotten any roll where more than two values are equal to or above 18.

I've gotten 98 as my highest roll ever, happened with an Undead Hunter.

I don't see the point of spending hours rolling dices if you won't take anything below 90 points. Just cheat to get 18 in everything, and then remove some points until you have only 90 left assigned...

the highest I ever got was a 92, but that was in BG1

I got an 89 yesterday making a new character(human cleric)

My rule with myself is I have to take the first roll I get equal or over 84 (thats a 14 in everything). Also I don't like cheating to get max stats because once I do that I'm too tempted to keep them all. My 84 rule gives enough to have a good character while staying a little fair.

I have a query though. I know we all let our charisma stay low and just get the ring of human influence to make it 18, but does anything in the game ever look at the natural roll ? eg Nalia romance mods say the character must have at least 8 (?) char. anything at all ? because I've played games where modifiers ARE sometimes ignored.

It's not like I spent hour's trying to get that score it was like my 4 or 5 role.
And I know stat's are a small part but I thought it was cool.

Never checked this myself but, if you roll low stats, then increase them through shadowkeeper, wont you miss out the bonuses you want in the first place? Like DEX -> AC, CON -> HP?

Nope, Zuvio, that's retroactive. Just as if it had been increased by an item. Like the Bracers of Dexterity (gives DEX of 18) will cause the AC to plummet...great for Anomen or Keldorn or anyone else with a poor DEX score.

I do that sometimes, but I am a bit against the idea. I like saying "This is a great game and I haven't cheated at all!!!!

I agree, but the problem is that if you have a thief, mage or cleric, this method will give you exceptional strength, which you really shouldn't have.

i was just wondering how you rolled 19 constitution with a half-orc. isnt that only for dwarves.
