I'm just wondering what is like the highest backstab you guy's have got?
I got one and it was like 198 damage with a low level assasin.

BackStab doesnt work for me...... Do you have to use a certain wepon?

NO, you can use any (melee) weapons a theif can weild normaly. So ultra-high-level theives that can use extra stuff still cant backstab with a two handed sword, although it would be a nice thing.

Also you have to be invisible or hidden-in-shadows.

And finaly, you have to be behind your target.

And it helps to select your melee weapon rather than your bow, which mistake I have commited on occasion.

~</font>I believe the highest possible damage was near 600. the person dualed Sarevok(tob) to thief, figured out the weapon with the most damage per hit and sarevoks special attack which adds 200 damage i think(after the backstab so not multipled)

MASSIVE Critical Hits.......

The highest I've seen was a little under 400, I was playing a solo avenger on Insane difficulty, I thought I was ready to face the slave lords in the temple district, I wasn't lol. Within 5 seconds of meeting them ketta had opened up with a backstab scored a critical hit and blown my Avenger to tiny pieces. Needless to say I decided to leave the slavelords until I had a few more levels under my belt.

Ok so technically this doesn't really answer your question What's the highest you have got your backstab ? but I thought it was an impressive backstab none the less
