I apologise if there has been a similar thread like this b4 but I just thought I'd tell somebody.

Well, I played the first BG2 game as a female Ranger and completed it. The thing was, I wanted to try out different classes as well as have a male player character for a change.

Instead of going through Chapter 1 (Irenicus' Prison) all over again. I used a program to alter a saved game(the one with the female Ranger) after completing Chapter 1. That saved game was kinda like a "Generic startout template" of sorts. Anyways, I altered the female Ranger pc and coverted it to a male Wizard.

Next thing I knew, after recruiting Anomen, he keeps refering to the pc as if he was female and even tried to hit on him a few times. It was pretty funny at first but it got a bit tiresome after awhile. :D

The first dungeon isnt that bad, not if you install the tactics mod, specificaly the improved illyich component, play solo, and play on insane difficulty. You will need ToB to isntall that component though.

Also theres the dungeon-be-gone mod ( http://www.forgottenwars.net/dbg/ ) which lets you skip through most of that dungeon.

Hahahaah... It wouldn't surprise me if Anomen made a pass at your male PC even if you didn't alter the char file. Easiest way to fix it is to boot the prat out of your party. If you really want to keep him, try using the dialogue options to set him straight.

That still woudnt fix the female romances though.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll be sure to try it out.

FYI, the Anomen/pc Wizard romance didn't go beyond a dinner at Burger King and a movie afterwards, thank goodness. :D

Actually, if you look beyond his voice set, and provided he passes his knighthood test (so that he gets a decent WIS score), he makes a pretty good cleric. Right now in terms of levels he's the highest in my party - level 24 with a few quest spells to boot. He makes an excellent secondary tank and with his turn undead he practically cleaned out the vampire base in Chap 6 all by himself. Walk up to a vamp and next moment Booom! a chunkified ex-vamp. :D

I kinda always had my suspicions about that cleric anyway. He's a little to uptight, ya know what I mean(nudge nudge wink wink).

As far as being a bad character for a party,if you can put up with his self riteousness he's not to bad . Give him that flail or the mace of disruption and he can wail some tail. also if he gets rejected for the knighthood he really gets into a deep depression, witch is kinda funny to see.ha ha riteous boy
