Well, I defeated irenicus in Hell (and I did quite the tactical job; it was probaly one of the smartest battles I've fought), And then there was the end movies (him getting attacked by those things, and then some people talking about me). And then it went to credits, which I clicked to skip. should I have not done that? It seems like there should have been more to the ending. I thought I heard some stuff about choosing to become a god or something like that. Perhaps it had something to do the way I answered the questions there in hell?
Also, my paladin is only level 18 (XP Cap removed) with just over 3million xp (thanks to the final door I opened, it gave me 200,000 ) and it seems like there was no point in me removing the xp cap. How in the world do people reach level 25+? Is it by going through the game again with their characters? And finally, i will probaly port my cavalier over to the new mp game I'm gonna start... how will this affect gameplay? Will he be able to frag early bosses and stuff with a normal longsword and stuff like that? Because I don't want to experiance the game as a breeze like that. Most of the people who make it to level 25+ play the expansion pack, or solo the game. ;)

Throne of Bhaal has a much more impressive ending that wraps up most of the lose threads.
I think the ending to SOA was left open-ended so that it would be easy to add-on TOB later. TOB spoiler below: - -- --- ---- ----- ---- --- -- - "I thought I heard some stuff about choosing to become a god or something like that. Perhaps it had something to do the way I answered the questions there in hell?" You get the 'become a god' option in Throne of Bhaal. |
DEFINITELY get Throne of Bhaal, Cavalier, if you haven't done so yet. Also if you get it, consider downloading the Ascension mod, which is what Wesley Weimer had planned to put into the original ToB when it was cut to make the press date by Bioware/Interplay.

Aaak, you're right, Dundee...it was David Gaider. My bad. Anyhoo, it's an excellent mod; probably the best one out there.

... or they play a small party. For example, I am playing a party of three dual class characters - from the beginning to the end of the game. My characters are usually level 28 or so in the Hell.

What's the point of removing the XP cap in SoA. when you get no moe avbilities after 2,950,000 XP points. And does any one know about BG:III?
|
Can anyone put up a link to the ascension mod?

Here's a list to all of Weimer's mods, including the Ascension WeiDU of Gaider's original mod:
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~weimer/bgate/ It seems to be down momentarily, though. -Sazerac |
