Can any one tell what the idol does is it just a thing,can i use it ?????

Allows you to fight a tough ass doomsayer and its a part of a easter egg in Ulcaster ruins.

That's right. The idol, together with some other items, will unlock a magical sword which is very powerful (but maybe not so wise to wield...)

easter egg? i still never found out what to do with the idol, and i ended up selling it. Can someone please go into more detail on this.

Is this only for TOTSC... or is there an easter egg without the expansion

Yeah, I heard that rumor too...."Take the Idol and the Ancient Armor to Ulcaster and he'll give you a Vampric Sword"....but I went ahead and did it, and found that that was NOT the case, at least for me. Ulcaster didn't give a damn about those items, he just wanted his book. Maybe I'll try pickpocketing him next time.....
Funny, I'd thought that Vampric weapons took a % of the damage they did and imparted those HP back to the wielder. Funny that something with the same same would cause the HP to flow in the opposite direction.
