say ur char was like level 18 in BG1, does he/she go back to level 8 if u import him/her to BG2:SoA?

i've never imported a charactor but i'm almost sure that your level is retained.

You keep your level, but you lose all your items, unfortunately.

Do you lose the Golden or Silver Pants as well. I was going to go through BG again to get the pants to make the Full Metal Unit. Or Whatever? Do I even know what I am talking about? I think someone has cast Confuse on me.

I think your xp is put back down to 89,000xp again but im not sure. The Golden pantaloons will be found in Irenicus' Dungeon if you import your character, all other equipment is lost.

<font color="gold">If your character has 161,000 XP or below, you'll get that in BG2 as well. If you have below the BG1-cap, you'll be boosted up to it in BG2. If you have more than 161,000 XP, your XP will be taken down to the BG1-cap. ;) </font>

When you export a character you lose all your stuff. I dont know how keep my items. I started with level 7 (the max level into BG1 without the expansion), but Minsc, Janehira and Imoen start with your same level.
