Does anyone know about how long real time does Terminsel the Harper (Elminster) appear after you have killed Dermin? I dont really want to keep Jahiera now but having read the walkthrough I might as well wait until I meed Terminsel before I ditch her....

Can I ditch her then get her back a long time later and still see Terminsel???

IIRC, 90 game days. Might be less.

I think it's less, I finished the entire game in less than that long(doing most of the quests). Only took me 34 game days with a party and 67 with a solo mage (read: lots of resting)

Thanks for the info! Well, I guess that is what I have to do then... I'll going to try run my computer for 5 days rl to see if I meet him... also does anyone know what is so 'special' about the harper pin? is it only Jahiera that can use it? and do I actually get a chance to join the Harper organisation in ToB?
