I know that anything you can multi-class, you should be able to dual class. I know you can dual from a kit, but not to a kit. My question is this: You can dual from a Ranger to a Cleric, but can you dual from a Cleric to a Ranger? I've been playing for some time and have looked at many walkthroughs and FAQs and it's hard to nail down certain facts without having to waste a lot of time and effort. OK, I'm sorry, rant over.

NP, and, probably. I usually play a pure class ranger or a multi as I (ALWAYS) play half-elf (and hack her into a paladin if I wanna play that :D ) but yeah, you should be able to

What you've read is correct - you can dual a Ranger to a Cleric, but not the other way around.

Why can't they just make it, Dual from anything, to anything?
With the stat requirements and a few exceptions. I think classes that can dual from anything to something else in the list (With all kits included): FIGHTER RANGER PALADIN CLERIC MAGE MONK BARBARIAN BARD THIEF But not sorceror, because their powers come naturally, so they are not concious....... Just my opinion though...... ;) |
Trust me, Six - you can't dual a Cleric to a Ranger.
I've tried. |
DJG- monks definately can`t dual, and I don`t think Bards can either.

Paladins and Barbarians DEFINITELY can't dual-class, either. Not in 2nd edition, at least. ;)

I don't think Bard can either...

IIRC these are the possible dual-class combos:
Fighter - Cleric, Mage, Druid, Thief Ranger - Cleric Cleric (just guessing) - Fighter, Mage, Thief Druid - Fighter Thief - Fighter, Mage, Cleric Mage - Fighter, Cleric, Thief |
