I like the flame tongue and the durlags armor.The flame tongue makes you look like a Doom Gaurd and the plate mail +3 is just very strong and light. I both gave them to Khalid.

I think the Helm of Balduran SUCKS. OK, it has cool abbilities but it makes you look like a geek. The staff-spear and the staff-mace are very nice for mages and druids. And When I heard there was a sword of balduran, I thought : " cool, you can get all kinds of cool balduran items !!!". well : NOT. Its stupid, and only usefull vs wherewolfs.

BTW, why do you need the butteeknife of Balduran for ?

Driztt Mintril and the longbow of accuracy (my party consits of 6 archers 3of which also have melee waepons and the other 3 are magic users)
But i don't think Baldur's gate has any superweapons and thats a bit of a same but the waepons that are avaible are al quite good if you use them right
(dont mind my spelling by the way i'm working on it)

The special effects that come with attacking monsters using Greywolf's longsword +2 / Bassilus' warhammer +2 are pretty cool (pun intended). The spell Spiritual Hammer also looks damn nice, what with the glowing hammer and the "sparks" which fly whenever contact is made with a beastie (although the damage sucks).
Pity though, about the dagger of venom -- it does not make much of an impact, graphically speaking (maybe green "sparks" instead?), despite the astronomical sum I paid for it... Does anyone know of an effective use for it? It seems too puny to use as a backstabbing weapon and does too little damage in actual hand-to-hand fighting.

I think the dagger of venom is onbe of the few weapons a mage can use when his spells run out
and it is nice to know eventhough your dead you'll still kill people (if you could hit the victem that is)

Well, for a tipical fighter the very best weapon is Twinkle I think... but if you are one of these Drizzt-fanatics that never kill him, Varscona is good too. Flametongue looks nice, but I think it isn´t good enough. Xan´s Moonblade looks fine too but it can be used only by Xan

For mages I always use Staff+3 and Sling +3 with the archimage robe. And the best wand in my opinion is the wand of frost, which really strikes and it´s funny to see the people frozen.

And Azreall, I think the 'combo' with full plate mail plus ring +2 is better than the plate+3. And yes, the helm of balduran Sucks, unless you are wearing The Claw of Kazgaroth or The Cloak of Displacement, cause with these items you can´t see the helm

Well Rikard I think your question is about the Algernon´s cloak, so:
1.- I raises your charisma by 2 points (useful for a paladin a for the party leader to get lower prices).
2.- You can charm persons from a distance (unlike the nymph´s cloak) and it has 65 000 charges !!!
