Anyone try this dual class combo? I dualed my berserker at level 13, and I'm still waiting to reach level 14 as a druid to see how it feels with all abilities available. I'm thinking it should be cool. I gave him 3 slots in dual wielding, and 3 slots in daggers, so I'll have a dual dagger wielding druid. I like a little challenge, and I like some of the side effects the various daggers have, if they ever actually work. Another challenge I gave myself was a low constitution so I'd have high enough abilities to be able to dual class this way. My total hit points are a pathetic 66! Ouch. So this is the first character to actually use the constitution belt and the potions from time to time.

My ultimate character though would be a druid/magic user. Anyone know the reasoning on why you can't do that? You can be a priest/magic-user, why not a druid?

That's the beauty of soloing. You can do it with anybody, you just have to figure out the best way to use the tools at hand.

<font color="gold">Because of the 2nd Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules, which the game is shaped by. It says that Druids can only dual to a Fighter, and vice versa. Barbarians, Sorcerers, Monks and Paladins can't dual at all.
If you don't like this rule, I suggest you get IWD2 or NWN, which both uses the 3rd Ed. AD&D-rules. This will allow every class to dual to whichever class they want, as long as they have a high enough score on the other class' main ability roll. ;) </font>

Dont you need like 6,000,000 XP to get there? Seems to me you're already playing through the entire game then.

You need a million 5 to get to level 14 as a druid. When you factor in the 1,250,000 or so you need to get to level 13 as a berserker, I'll be pretty much maxed out for SOA by the time that happens. But I still haven't left to go get Imoen. I'm doing all the stuff I can to have both classes active before I go. Hopefully they'll do ToB for the mac eventually, but I'm not holding my breath.

You forgot PoR:RoMD! (Pools of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor)

D*Ranged, Sir E was talking about *games* not jumbled assortments of code. ;)

Edit: I'm gettin' Dundee and Sir E confused?

I know, I was talking about games with 3rd rule. PoR:RoMD is one sir E forgot to mention.

I know. I was referring to PoR:RoMD as a *jumble of code.* ;)

I was highly disappointed by that one, to say the least.
