Baldur's Gate is 20 years old!
 

My favourite game of all time and the game that brought me into RPGs, Forgotten Realms and DnD is was released 21st Dec 1998. Although BG2 was "objectively" better, I loved the openness of wilderness areas of BG1, and... well I loved the fact how you started small and it never felt like there was a "monty haul" of items, enemies and spells. Made every magic weapon you get pretty special, and every boss fight exciting.

20 years- I saw that.. crazy! Also means Ironworks is 20+ years old.. now I feel old. hahah!! I remember going on usenet for news on VERY early info on BG1... such good games!

I played all of them again on the Enhanced versions. Good stuff!! Also, a new game called Quake Champions is out--LOOOVE it. played tons of Quake 1-3 on Kali via dial-up and QuakeSpy (then became GameSpy then died) :D

Its free to play still-- I think. I stream it all the time.. and Pubg

Been playing "Pathfinder Kingmaker" a really GOOD RPG-- its like BG, but with current graphics and its REALLY good. Tons of Skills.

And Underworld is out--they fixed all the bugs, and will be streaming it after Christmas
(Ironworks Gaming) on Youtube.. slowly building a library of streams there... have 300 or so now.. also will be on Twitch soon. It's fun going on adventures in these games!!!
