Has anyone tried playing BG II with cordless mouse/keyboard??? For some reason, the game doesn't detect my cordless mouse and/or keyboard...

I've got TOB installed, updated to the latest patch, but still, when i click on any of the buttons (attack, switch weapons, detect traps, formation, etc.), nothing happens. Does BG II not support cordless devices??? I've got the resolution of the game set to 1024X768 and i'm running this game on WIN XP...

Do you guys have any ideas?

This is strange. I run BG2 with a cordless mouse and keyboard on Windows ME just fine... It probably is another of those bugs on WinXP. ;)

Have you installed the latest drivers for your mouse?

u get more or less the same bug for Grand Theft Auto 3 on XP and u just had to download a patch or summin.
try reinstalling the keyboard and mouse under control panel devices.
if not i dunno.

Installing new drivers for the mouse and keyboard has no avail, i've tried it before. What's more, i even format my whole computer and did a clean install of WIN XP, but the same problem persists. I've tried playing the game in WIN XP with my "old" mouse (non-cordless, non-optical) and the game runs fine. Do you guys know if bioware did put up a new patch just for win xp?

BTW, do you guys know what's the sample rate and input buffer length means? THey were in the properties of my mouse in the device manager...

Ehm, sample rate is IMO like the refresh rate. How many updates of the location of the mouse do you want, the higher, the smoother.

Yeah, I've run it with both a Microsoft Explorer Optical Cordless and a Logitech Mouseman Cordless, and never had any problems. Probably just a driver thing with XP (seems like pretty much everything is ;) )
